The rusty crawfish is an invasive species introduced to the northeast, which originated from the Ohio River basin. Aggressive in nature, they have the ability to displace native crawfish species and fend off predators, but bass don't seem to mind feasting on them when given the opportunity, especially specimens without those big claws.
This clawless crawfish style jig has the coloration and profile to represent a hearty, defenseless meal that our bass have become accustomed to eating. Mostly drab, olive and brown, with a touch of light blue on the underside, tied on a bullet head with a hammered brown finish, sporting a VMC Barbarian hook.
Currently available in four weights: 3/32oz, 1/8oz, 3/16oz, and 1/4 oz.
