- RI DEM salt and freshwater boat launching sites in RI
- The Salt Ponds Coalition is the steward of RI's wonderful salt ponds. They have a great guide to kayaking South County's salt water ponds, including TKC's favorite, Ninigret Pond in Charlestown
- Local paddler Mike Krabach's KayakAccessRI site lists about 100 launch sites in southern New England

- Save the Bay has been helping protect RI's beautiful watersheds and coastlines since 1970. Their site is chock-full of great information and their annual Save the Bay Swim is usually in need of kayakers to help escort swimmers as they raise money to keep the Bay healthy.
